A NUMBER of children's TT hoodies have been urgently recalled after it was found they do not comply with safety regulations.
The hoodies, which were imported by Motorsport Merchandise Limited, do not comply with the Children's Clothing (Hood Cords) Regulations 1976.
The regulations prohibit the sale of children's outer garments with hoods designed to be secured by hood cords drawn through the material.
The Office of Fair Trading said the recall was necessary to prevent injury and possible strangulation.
During the TT period the hoodies were being sold in the temporary shop at the TT Grandstand. They were also sold in local shops and on the internet.
Sizes affected are 2-3 years, 3-4 years, 5-6 years and 7-8 years.
Anyone who has purchased one of these garments is advised to stop their child from wearing it immediately.
