All change at Port St Mary Post Office

by isleofman.com 22nd June 2011

PORT St Mary Post Office will be moving location from tomorrow.

The post office will begin operating from The Examiner Shop on Bay View Road in the village – instead of its current location within the Spar shop on Station Road.

Jeff Calvert, who owns The Examiner Shop, will take up the position of sub-postmaster following the resignation of the current sub-postmaster.

Marty Quine, the general manager of the post office retail network, said: "We would like to wish Mr Calvert every success in his new role as sub-postmaster and hope customers will continue to enjoy a high level of postal service in the village.

"The same range of services will be available including special delivery, foreign exchange, KeepSafe, ReDirect, benefit payments, vehicle and driving licences, banking services and bill payments."

Isle of Man Post Office says it has no plans to move the village's letterbox from its location on Station Road and customers can leave letters within The Examiner Shop for posting if they wish.
