Comedian Lee Evans to perform at Villa Marina

by isleofman.com 22nd June 2011

COMEDIAN Lee Evans will perform two gigs in the Isle of Man this summer.

The British comic and ex-boxer will play the Villa Marina on Thursday, July 14, and Friday, July 15, as part of his ROADRUNNER tour.

The tour has been billed as Lee's "most ambitious tour to date" and will see him perform 61 dates at 50 of the biggest arenas in the UK and Ireland including four nights at the O2 in London.

Lee is known for his manic energy, uncanny observations, hilarious delivery and side-splitting material and has made his live performances a must-see for comedy fans.

Community, Culture and Leisure Minister David Cretney MHK said: "I am delighted to announce another iconic performer is to play to the Villa Marina audience.

"Lee Evans is perhaps the biggest names in British comedy and after the incredible sell out performances a couple of years ago it is great news that he wants to come back and entertain his fans in the Isle of Man."

Lee Evans last performed in the Isle of Man in 2008.

Tickets are on sale now priced at £30. They can be booked by calling the Box Office on 01624 600555, online at www.villagaiety.com or through the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal in Douglas.
