by isleofman.com 21st June 2011

POLICE are investigating after £200 went missing from a Douglas cashpoint.

On Monday, June 13, at 2.45pm a member of the public requested to withdraw the cash from an ATM machine on Prospect Hill. However the money didn't appear.

Sometime later the money did dispatch from the machine and was collected by a young child believed to be wearing a Ballacottier School uniform.

Police have said they would like to speak to the child to find out what happened to the money so it can be returned to its rightful owner.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Sarah Corkish at Lord Street Police Station on 01624 631212.
