Community, Culture and Leisure Minister David Cretney expects more tough decisions ahead for the next government in the Isle of Man.
The South Douglas MHK, who is standing again in this year's general election, has faced criticism over recent redundancies within his department.
But he fully expects the successful candidates on September 29 to face similar problems.
On Agenda last night (Monday), Mr Cretney said he suspected the row with Britain over cuts to the VAT agreement would resurface, as the United Kingdom government hit further money problems (listen to audio file below):
The other people who have declared in South Douglas so far are Liberal Vannin candidate Kate Beecroft and the other sitting member, Bill Malarkey.
