Neil holds his nerve in sudden death

by isleofman.com 20th June 2011

Neil Parsons has racked up a first for a Manx shooter by winning a Great Britain Olympic Trap selection shoot.

He shot 23 out of 25 to tie for first place, forcing a sudden death round.

In a nail-biting shoot in front of a crowd of around 200 people, Neil held his nerve and triumphed on the eleventh clay.

He placed seventh at the first round of selections two weeks ago, and there are three further matches to go before any decisions are made.
