Manx brothers extend ski business following success

by isleofman.com 20th June 2011

TWO Manxmen who set up a ski chalet business in the Rhone Alps have decided to open up the chalets all year round.

Following a successful first winter season operating the My Mountain Chalets in Samoëns, brothers Jonathan and James Ingram have decided to keep the chalets open throughout the summer as well.

Jonathan explained: "The response from our guests last winter was very positive. Summer in Samoëns is perfect for anyone who loves being in the mountains as it is a great location for a wide range of activities.

"We also appreciate that our guests need to relax after a long day and our chalets have a garden and swimming pool for them to use."

The area, an hour away from Geneva, is popular with hikers, cyclists and climbers and there are also opportunities for white water rafting. The surrounding mountains also attract artists and photographers who want to capture the scenery.

There are two chalets to choose from – Chalet Marvel and Chalet Marmotte. Both can accommodate up to 12 visitors and are built in the style of traditional Savoyard farmhouses. For more information visit www.mymountainchalets.com.
