VICKY Crellin has been appointed to the position of events co-ordinator at Milntown Estate and Gardens in Lezayre.
She is the former marketing manager of Kroll and has been appointed by the Trustees of Milntown to facilitate a number of events throughout the year.
Milntown House and its grounds were left in trust by the last owner of the estate Sir Clive Edwards with the express wish that they be made available for Island residents and visitors.
To date the trustees have built a new restaurant, started to develop the gardens and this month will be opening the house to the public for the first time.
Vicky said: "I'm really looking forward to the challenge of helping the trust to achieve their goals and objectives. Milntown is a remarkable location and has all the facilities to run first class corporate events for blue chip companies as well as offering great scope for fun activities and for fundraising."
Peter Crellin, chairman of the Milntown Trustees, said: "We are really pleased to have secured someone of the Vicky's calibre to work with us at this important time in our development. She has some excellent ideas and her marketing and event experience will be a real asset to us and the people who use Milntown."
Vicky has extensive marketing and event experience and has worked for a number of London based companies including securities company Kroll and the bank UBS. She returned to the Isle of Man in April 2010 with her husband Simon Crellin and their two children.
