The Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce says it will lobby hard in the run-up to September's general election.
In a speech at the organisation's AGM in Douglas yesterday (Thursday), President Nick Veradi said Island businesses had flagged up key issues they said must be tackled by the next government.
He said they included curbs on government spending and a reduction in the scope of government activity.
Mr Veradi said the public sector pensions liability remained a serious concern, and called for the government pension scheme to be closed to new employees.
