No sad songs for Elton John ticket winners

by isleofman.com 16th June 2011

ELTON John's concert promoters have promised two fans a "once in a lifetime experience" after they won VIP tickets for tonight's performance.

Carol Crane from Ramsey and David Baker from Douglas won VIP platinum tickets in a Manx Telecom competition.

Their prize includes two platinum area seats, a back stage tour, champagne reception in the VIP marquee, canapés and a hot and cold buffet.

The winners will also be treated to entertainment from a magician, harpist and silhouette artist and have been given tickets to the after show party.

It will be the first time Carol has seen Elton John in concert. She said: "I couldn't believe it when Manx Telecom phoned up to say I had won the tickets. It's really exciting."

Ben Martin, of concert promoter Marshall Arts, said: "Sir Elton's concerts are always memorable occasions as you would expect from one of the world's greatest entertainers. But for David and Carol the evening promises to be a once in a lifetime experience as they will be given VIP treatment from the moment they arrive. They can look forward to a night they will never forget."

David Smith, director of Marketing at Manx Telecom, said: "This is a great prize and promises to give David, Carol, and their guests a fantastic evening. But it's just one example of the money can't buy experiences we are offering in our competitions so customers should look out for texts about more exciting opportunities in the coming months."
