THE IOMA Group has announced the appointment of two new managing directors.
Craig Brown and Alex McNee have been appointed as managing directors of IOMA Fiduciary and IOMA Solutions respectively.
Alex moved to the Isle of Man over 20 years ago to join Natwest International Trust Corporation (which later became Coutts Offshore). He became a director of an independent trust and corporate service provider in 2005 before joining IOMA in 2010.
He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and holds the society's diploma in International Trust Management. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
Craig, a chartered accountant and chartered tax advisor, moved to the Island three years ago taking up a position of director in the trust and corporate services industry. He has international experience within the aerospace, retail, telecommunications and oil industries.
He said: "I feel privileged to have been trusted with the group's fiduciary business and relish the challenges ahead. With a strong team already in place and with access to the group's extensive service offering I am confident that we can deliver significant value to existing clients whilst bringing new clients to the Isle of Man.
"Our aim is to be more than just a service provider to our clients instead we will be a trusted commercial partner delivering added value through our business relationships."
Alex said: "The past year has been a period of development for the IOMA Solutions concept and we are very pleased with the positive response from clients. Our ability to offer such a diverse range of products and services under one roof is unique and allows us to tailor solutions to each client’s specific needs.
"I am excited by the initiatives which are currently underway and see our role as ambassador for the IOMA Group drawing together the vast experience which exists within our sister divisions."
Nigel Wood, managing director of the group, said: "The world is ever changing we are no different and our fiduciary and solutions divisions have experienced a period of re-engineering in the past year that has not always been easy.
"IOMA Group believes in empowerment and that is not for everybody. We felt that the time was right to provide separate leadership to each division so that both businesses receive the focus and attention that they need in order to thrive in what is a collegiate environment.
"In Alex and Craig we have two very able, experienced senior managers with proven expertise, client focus and who engender the IOMA ethos.
"Our aim is to grow the business and dazzle our clients - but have fun doing it. These appointments have been made with that aim in mind. What we have never lacked is determination. Alex and Craig have that and a lot more"
