Police name man killed in collision

A MAN killed in a traffic collision on Monday has been named as 40-year-old Kevin Michael Madigan of Liverpool.

 

The incident happened at 3.45pm on Bemahague Road near to its junction with the Governor's Hill Estate in Douglas.

 

It involved two vehicles - a red and white Suzuki motorcycle and a white Dennis Eagle motor vehicle.

 

Mr Madigan was one of two people on the motorcycle. The other was taken to Noble's Hospital and detained.

 

The occupants of the Dennis Eagle vehicle received minor injuries.

 

The road was closed for five hours while police conducted an inquiry.

 

They are renewing their appeal for witnesses to contact them and anyone with information should ring 01624 631212.
