'Train heroes' to screen in Japan

A Japanese film crew is on the Isle of Man shooting footage for a new TV series.

The team is filming material for Train Hero, a part-animated, part live action show, described as 'Thomas the Tank Engine meets Transformers'.

The drama also features real railways, and the crew has been filming horse trams, electric trams the steam railway.

One member of the crew told Manx Radio more about the series, which is due to air in Japan next summer:
