Minister defends film industry's big losses

Treasury Minister Anne Craine is insisting the Island’s film industry is a good investment, despite losses of ?27 million of taxpayers' money.

In the House of Keys this week she answered written questions from Onchan MHK Peter Karran about CinemaNX's investments in films.

He was told that out of ?33 million invested, a figure of ?6 million has been made back, with more than ?10 million written off.

Despite the numbers, Mrs Craine is supporting the strategy:
