Port St Mary and Port Erin lifeboats were called out to help a catamaran which got into difficulties in rough conditions, close to the Calf of Man, at around 8am today (Wednesday).
The vessel, which was en route to Dublin from Port St Mary with a crew of two, started shipping water about four and a half miles south west of the southern village.
The lifeboats escorted the catamaran safely back to Port St Mary and a woman crew member was taken to hospital by ambulance for a check-up.
