MBE for TTXGP founder

by isleofman.com 14th June 2011

The founder of zero-emissions road racing in the Isle of Man has been given an MBE in the Queen's birthday honours.

Azhar Hussain is receiving the award for services to motorsport.

Mr Hussain set up the TTXGP on the Island in 2009, before a public spat with the Manx government led him to start his own TTXGP racing series.

The TTXGP is now in its third year and running in three continents.
