Job losses on the railways, the state of the International Business School's finances and the Isle of Man's film industry will all come under scrutiny during question time in the House of Keys this morning (Tuesday).

There are 22 questions for oral answer and four for written reply, after which MHKs will look at three bills and consider a motion from North Douglas member Bill Henderson.

Chairman of the Water Authority Tim Crookall will make a statement about the Flood Risk Management Bill, a committee looking at a new Criminal justice Bill will report back and Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne will bring new laws governing land deals forward for their second reading.

As usual, a variety of topics will be covered during questions.

Onchan MHK Peter Karran will quiz Treasury Minister Anne Craine about CinemaNX, which invests in films made on the Island, and Michael MHK David Cannan will ask Education Minister Eddie Teare if he is 'taking responsibility for financially mismanaging the business school at the Nunnery'.

North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson will question Health Minister David Anderson about the Island's dental service, and Malew and Santon's Graham Cregeen wants to know about concerns raised with the Agriculture Department about its countryside care scheme.

Mr Henderson's motion suggests an extension of the notice period served on five railway workers at the Isle of Man Steam and Electric Railways, to allow more time for redeployment and retraining.
