End of one-way system

by isleofman.com 13th June 2011

Two-way traffic returns to the Mountain Road today (Monday).

A one-way system has been in operation for 16 days, since the start of TT fortnight on Saturday, May 28.

However, everything will be back to normal at 2pm.

Before then, the road will close at 10am, while Department of Infrastructure staff remove signage and make other preparations.

The one-way system, from Ramsey Hairpin to Creg ny Baa, was first introduced in 2007 to try and improve safety and reduce the likelihood of head-on collisions on the mountain section of the TT course during the busy period.
