Last hurdle for breastfeeding bill

by isleofman.com 12th June 2011

There's one more hurdle for legislation to protect the rights of breastfeeding mothers in the Isle of Man.

The Breastfeeding Bill is going for a third reading in the Legislative Council on Tuesday.

Members will also read the Road Traffic and Highways (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill, which would create new driving offences and increased penalties for some existing ones.

There's just one question for oral answer, and that comes from Juan Turner MLC.

He wants to know if the Manx government plans to follow the United Kingdom's lead in abolishing the default retirement age.

The LegCo sitting is open to the public and starts at 10.30.
