by isleofman.com 10th June 2011

Police are appealing for witnesses after an accident on the main Laxey to Ramsey coast road yesterday (Thursday) in which a woman received serious injuries.

It happened at around 3.45pm at the Hibernia junction and involved a red Honda Deauville motorcycle, a white Triumph Scrambler bike, a red Renault Megane and a white Vauxhall Movano van.

The pillion passenger on the Triumph was taken to Noble's Hospital by ambulance and the road was closed for four hours while police carried out inquiries.

Officers say the area was busy at the time and anyone who witnessed the accident or saw the vehicles immediately before it happened is asked to ring Police Headquarters on 631212.

Police say there were no other injuries.
