The first part of a multi-million pound redevelopment of Douglas has been put back, a few days before it was due to start.
Funds for the project from the Manx Treasury have not yet been signed off.
Contractors were due to begin a six-week upgrade of Upper and Lower Nelson Street in the town centre next Monday.
It's part of a ?5.5 million regeneration project for the capital, and the borough council publicly announced the facelift would begin straight after TT.
However, chairman of the council's Public Works Committee David Ashford says that won't now happen:
