Australian national charged over biker death

POLICE have named the motorcyclist who was killed in a collision near to the Fairy Bridge on Monday.

 

He was Robert Arthur Kneale, 65, from Ballasalla.

 

Mr Kneale was killed on the Main Douglas to Ballasalla Road in Santon after his red Yamaha motorcycle collided with a black Alfa Romeo Guiletta at around 7.55pm.

 

The driver of the Alfa Romeo, a 42 year old male Australian national – Craig William Waghorn - has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

 

Police would still like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or remembers seeing any of the vehicles described immediately before the collision.
