Chris Whorrall is getting ready to compete in the Baby Giro in Italy, which starts tomorrow.
Whorrall, who rides for the Pisa-based MGK-VIS-Norda team, has only recently got back in the saddle after breaking his thumb in a big crash in late April.
Competing for Great Britain, he was involved in a massive crash in which 50 riders went down towards the end of a stage of the event as speeds were reaching 50mph.
Twenty-four were taken to hospital, including Whorrall.
He's spent part of his recovery back on the Island, including twice-daily sessions in the hyperbaric chamber in Douglas to speed up the healing process.
