Tribute to vocal campaigner

A vocal campaigner who criticised the Manx government on a range of issues was a ‘one-off’.

So says Ballasalla man Eddie Power who first met Henry Ramagge during the ultimately successful campaign to save the Reciprocal Health Agreement.

Mr Ramagge, who died last week at the age of 76, was also chairman of pressure group the Friends of the Manx Diabetic.

And according to Eddie Power, who runs a political website, diplomacy and quiet conversation was not his style.
