Full restart of Supersport 1 at 1pm

by isleofman.com 6th June 2011

There will be a full restart of the Supersport 1 race, held over three laps.

The race was red-flagged this morning following what race officials described as a serious incident at Gorse Lea.

It was stopped immediately, shortly after the leaders had gone through Ramsey Hairpin on lap two.

Cameron Donald was first at the time, 20 seconds ahead of Keith Amor, with John McGuinness a further 10 seconds back.

Michael Dunlop had led the race earlier on, before retiring at The Gooseneck on lap one.

Guy Martin went into the bales at Creg-ny-Baa on lap one, wanted to restart his bike and continue but wasn't allowed to, according to his team boss Hector Neill.

As it's a full restart, the likes of Dunlop and Martin will be able take part.
