Police probe breakfast-time assault

A man was assaulted outside a Douglas hotel early on Saturday morning, and police want to find out more about the incident.

It happened around 7.15am on the steps at the front of the Trevelyan on Queen's Promenade.

The victim recieved injuries to his face and was treated at Noble’s Hospital.

Police want to hear from witnesses and would particularly like to speak to a group of men who left the hotel immediately after the assault.

Anyone who can help the investigation is asked to ring Police Headquarters on 631212, or the Crimestoppers line anonymously on 0800 555 111.
