Elton gig draws near

by isleofman.com 4th June 2011

The owner of the venue for the Elton John concert later this month says all the contracts should be signed by Monday morning.

Douglas Council has been heavily involved in arrangements to make Noble's Park ready for the gig and says the site is due to be handed over to the promoters at 11am that day.

The giant tent in which the rock superstar will perform is due on the Island this weekend.

Leader of Douglas Council, David Christian, says the cancellation of the Isle of Man Bay Festival created major problems for the organisers of the Elton John gig, but everything is now just about in place:

Elton John is due to perform at Noble's Park on Thursday, June 16.
