Howard Street assault witness appeal

by isleofman.com 4th June 2011

Police are making an urgent appeal for information after a serious assault in Douglas on Thursday night.

It happened in a lane off Howard Street, near the side of the former Woolworth store, at about 10pm.

No information has been released about the victim or the number of people involved, but police are keen to speak to a number of witnesses who told officers on foot patrol about the incident.

They also want to talk to a woman who was seen walking past the area at the time, with a man. The woman had shoulder length brown hair, and was wearing an orange and red jacket.

Anybody who can help the investigation is asked to ring Police Headquarters on 631212, or the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
