Manx Telecom appoints new marketing communications supervisor

MANX Telecom's marketing team has been boosted by the appointment of Gavin Smith as marketing communications supervisor.

 

Gavin previously held the position of general manager at IsleofMan Dot Com Ltd. In his new position he will now work across Manx Telecom's entire product range.

 

He said: "Manx Telecom is one of the Island's largest and most important companies - it's also one of the biggest and best loved Manx brands.

 

"Its operations affect almost every individual, company and organisation on the Island and I'm particularly excited to be joining the company at a time when telecoms and communications technology is transforming the way we all live and work."

 

Voirrey Barron, marketing communications manager, said: "I'm delighted to have Gavin onboard. His particular experience, which encompasses marketing, new media, and online publishing, will enable him to make a significant contribution to our operations.

 

"The pace of development in the telecoms sector has never been faster and at Manx Telecom we're determined to give customers the best value, service, and coverage which technology can offer. I'm certain that Gavin will play a key role in helping us do just that."

 

Gavin is a graduate of the Isle of Man International Business School. He also holds the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Professional Diploma and Chartered Marketer status. 


He is also actively involved the wider professional development of marketing in the Island in his role as vice chairman of the Chartered Institute of Marketing on the Isle of Man.
