Mini-festival makes over ?5K

A big charity concert that kicked off this year's TT raised more than ?5,000 for local charities.

Manx Charity Aid held its annual 12-hour gig on Sunday, in Bushy's Beer Tent near the Sea Terminal.

The mini-festival, featuring all-local bands, raised ?5,144 which will be split between six Isle of Man-based good causes.

The charities to benefit are Junior Achievement, Age Concern, the Manx Foundation for the Physically Disabled, Naseem's Manx Brain Tumour Charity, the Friends of Robert Owen House and Isle of Man Special Olympics.
