Memory Walk to help bereavement charity

by isleofman.com 2nd June 2011

A CHARITY which helps bereaved people is appealing for volunteers to take part in a sponsored walk in memory of lost loved ones.

Cruse Bereavement Care Isle of Man is hosting the Memory Walk on Sunday, July 17.

The walk will begin in Peel at the old railway line and walkers will travel around four miles. It is a flat route so is suitable for all.

Cruse was founded in 1988 and exists to promote the well-being of bereaved people and to help anyone suffering bereavement caused by death to understand their grief and cope with their loss.

By walking and raising sponsorship money you can help Cruse continue to provide this free support.

The walk starts at 11.30am and will go ahead whatever the weather. Registration is at 10.30am and there is a registration fee of £5 for children, £10 for adults or £20 for a family.

For a registration pack and more information please e-mail iomcruse@manx.net or telephone 01624 668192.
