THREE fruit blended Manx cheeses have been launched by the Isle of Man Creamery.
The cheeses have been made to a new recipe of Druidale which was originally created by Gladys Davies - the first real commercial cheesemaker on the Island in 1922.
Druidale cheese has a milky and crumbly texture which according to Isle of Man Creamery makes it perfect for blending with fruit.
Customers can now choose from Druidale cheese with aprictors, Druidale cheese with cranberries and Druidale cheese with mango and pineapple.
Findlay Macleod, managing director at Isle of Man Creamery, said: "These new cheeses have hit the mark with consumers and trade customers. We already have orders for some of the fruit cheeses from retailers on the Isle of Man, UK, Ireland and Spain. Customers also love the new packaging."
The range of cheeses are now available in stores in the Island and also for free doorstop delivery.
Druidale cheese with apricots – An ambrosial fusion of mellow velvety-rich Druidale cheese studded with fragrant delicately flavoured apricots. A subtle burst of sunshine on the tongue.
Druidale cheese with cranberries – Smooth creamy-rich Druidale cheese is blended with refreshingly zingy cranberries to create a unique cheese of impeccable character that is combined with the most favoured of fruit.
Druidale cheese with mango and pineapple – The lushness of the Isle of Man and the exotic taste of the Caribbean combine to create this delicious combination – Druidale cheese with sun-blessed mango and juicy pineapple. Tropically tangy and totally irresistible.
