Summer ball in aid of Hospice

by isleofman.com 1st June 2011

THE Palace Hotel and Casino is hosting a black tie summer ball in aid of Hospice Isle of Man.

The event will take place in the Cushag Suite on Friday, July 15 and is part of a year long series of events organised by the hotel to raise funds for the charity.

Adrian Brockhouse, managing director of the Palace Hotel and Casino, said: "Plans for the summer ball are coming together nicely and we're all looking forward to what should be a fantastic night's entertainment.

"Hospice plays such a vital role in the community and our customers and our staff have so far shown great support to our fundraising activities this year. I'm sure the summer ball will be equally well supported."

There will be live music on the night from harpist Gina Williams, Nigel Williams and the Party Band and a DJ.

Hospice Isle of Man cares for more than 350 patients each year at a cost of more than £3.5 million. The charity receives a cash grant for £600,000 from the Department of Health but has to raise the balance of funds itself.

Mary Doyle, PR and marketing manager for Hospice, said: "We are delighted with the support the Palace Hotel and Casino has shown us. Our community partnerships make a huge difference to Hospice – we have fun while raising much needed and valued funds."

Tickets for the summer ball are priced at £45. To book or for more information please telephone 01624 682776.
