Douglas gas escape could cause traffic delays

by isleofman.com 1st June 2011

EMERGENCY work is being carried out to repair a gas escape in the road on Bucks Road between Tynwald Road and Christian Road in Douglas.

And it could lead to traffic problems.

Manx Gas distribution manager Andy Bainton said: "This may cause delays, particularly at peak times.

"If possible we suggest seeking an alternative route."

He added: "We are working as quickly as safety will permit and at the moment anticipate that the work should be completed tomorrow (Thursday).

"Manx Gas apologies for any delays and inconvenience caused during these essential emergency works and if there are any delays to completion we will make a further announcement."
