POLICE are investigating after someone caused around £300 of damage to a car in Douglas in broad daylight.
Between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Friday a sharp implement was used to gorge a continuous scratch along the driver side doors of a silver Ford Focus.
The car was parked in Mona Drive.
A police spokesperson said: "This crime is particularly unusual in that it has occurred in broad daylight and thus it is hoped that someone in the vicinity may have witnessed the damage being caused.
"If anyone has witnessed this needless act or knows who might be responsible they are asked to contact PC Graham Corran at Lord Street Police Station or ring Police Headquarters."
