A traditional TT curtain raiser takes place on Douglas promenade today (Sunday).

Manx Charity Aid is holding a twelve-hour music festival in Bushy's Beer tent, starting at 12 noon.

The event has raised more than ?50,000 since it began, with all the money going to worthy causes on the Isle of Man.

Earlier this month, Andrea Dentith of Manx Charity Aid told Manx Radio the organisers, bands and the audience always had a great time (listen to audio file below):

The money raised will go to Naseem's Manx Brain Tumour Charity, Age Concern Isle of Man, the Friends of Robert Owen House, Isle of Man Special Olympics, the Manx Foundation for the Physically Disabled and Junior Achievement Isle of Man.
