Fire service scam

by isleofman.com 27th May 2011

The Island’s fire service is warning people not to fall for scam calls from a company claiming to be selling advertising space.

The calls say they’re producing a publication related to the fire service and follows similar calls involving the police.

Chief Fire Officer Brian Draper says the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service isn’t producing any such publications – and the company has no links to the brigade.

If you’ve been contacted, you can get in touch with police headquarters on 631212 or the Office of Fair Trading on 686500.
