MHK defends legal high strategy

MDAI hasn't previously highlighted itself as being a danger on the Isle of Man, but moves are being made to outlaw it now.

That's according to Bill Malarkey MHK, the political member with responsibility for the Manx government's Drug and Alcohol Strategy.

An inquest which was opened and adjourned this week heard a teenage girl from Ramsey who died last month had a toxic level of MDAI in her system.

Mr Malarkey believes the authorities are tackling the legal high problem:
