TIME is running out for local businesses to take part in the Clean Tech industry survey.
Just one week is now left for companies to get involved with the closing date being Friday June 3.
The Department of Economic Development commissioned the independent survey by Pricewaterhouse Coopers to evaluate the current and future economic benefit of the Clean Tech sector to the Isle of Man.
Local businesses, either active or inactive in the Clean Tech sector at the present time, are encouraged to complete the survey, in order to assess the potential demand for Clean Tech products and services amongst businesses. This information may increase the attraction of inward investment in the Isle of Man for Clean Tech companies.
Survey participants will receive an invitation to an event at which the results of the survey will be presented and where they can receive a copy of a summary findings report and a public acknowledgement of their participation should they wish.
Minister for Economic Development, Allan Bell MHK said, “The Clean Tech sector is rapidly growing and offers significant opportunities for local businesses.
“The Department will continue to intensify its efforts to attract inward investment to the Island in the Clean Tech sector and would appreciate assistance from local businesses in completing the online survey. The findings will help Government to appropriately resource our future efforts in the Clean Tech sector.”
Mrs Clare Christian MLC, Department Member with responsibility for Clean Tech, added, “The Isle of Man provides a competitive advantage for Clean Tech businesses, due to benefits from the Island’s Intellectual property offering, proven experience in trialling new technology and our existing precision manufacturing base. We want to ensure the sector will continue to grow on the Island.”
• The survey is available for completion online at: https://secure.sigmer.net:443/opinio/s?s=13202 and all responses to the survey will be held in the strictest confidence by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC.
