Search for a star

by isleofman.com 25th May 2011

The search is on for local young talent for a summer production of Terry Pratchett's Johnny and the Dead.

Young people aged 11 to 14 who can act, dance, sing - or are willing to learn - are asked to come along to Douglas Youth Arts Centre in Kensington Road at 7.30pm tonight (Wednesday).

The production will be staged as part of a Youth Arts Festival and organisers are also looking for young people interested in working backstage on set design and construction, sound and lighting.

You can find out more by contacting the Department of Education’s head of youth arts, Fiona Helleur, on 437339.
