A TOTAL of £2,040 is going to Hospice as a result of the Lloyds TSB Corporate Banking Golf Day at Castletown.

A sum of £1,020 was raised on the day which was matched by Lloyds TSB to make the final total for the charity.  The Lloyds TSB Golf Day is an annual fund raising event and has become a big hit amongst corporate clients.

“It was a great day and everyone seemed to enjoy it,” said Trevor Kirk, senior manager of Lloyds TSB Corporate.

“I’m pleased we were able to secure a substantial amount for the charity.  Lloyds TSB staff chose Hospice Isle of Man as it is a charity close to our hearts.  We hope the funds raised will help contribute significantly towards looking after the patients cared for by Hospice.”

Brian Partington OBE, President of Hospice Isle of Man, added, “We are pleased to have received such a generous donation.

“Hospice Isle of Man’s services are free to members of the public, so we are very grateful for contributions such as this. I would like to thank Trevor and his team for thinking of us as the chosen charity for the golf day event.”
