Manx shine at GB National Series

Aalin George and Sarah Rigby recorded top ten finishes at the opening round of the Archery GB National Series.

In addition Kirsten George also made the it through a reduced qualification round to finish 16th.

The first round of the series was at Evesham in Worcestershire, and there are four rounds in total with the best three results counting to a final position.

The top four will make it through to the grand final in Liverpool in September.

Aalin George made progress through the individual head to head eliminations and finished 8th with Sarah Rigby one place back in 9th.

Strong winds led to Sunday's Isle of Man Archery Club shoot at Ronaldsway being called off.
