Deemster Doyle dismisses Clarkson claim

by isleofman.com 24th May 2011

Jeremy Clarkson and his wife's attempt to allow someone else to consider their petition of doleance over Langness has been dismissed by Deemster Doyle.

They'd asked for him to recuse - stand down effectively - from the hearing on whether or not they could lodge the petition, because of what they called, 'comments and determinations he made in judgments delivered' in September last year and March this year.

The Clarkson's unsuccessful move is the latest chapter in the long-running saga over public rights of way at Langness.

Deemster Doyle dismissed their call for him to recuse, saying he had not been persuaded that any grounds existed which would justify such a decision.
