First event for new golf society

THE inaugural golfing day for the Financial Planners and Insurance Brokers Association has taken place at Ramsey with sponsorship from Nationwide International.

 

Eight teams of four competed in a friendly Stableford am-am competition for generous prizes donated by Nationwide International who also provided well earned refreshments for the players at the end of the tournament.

 

The event - which is now set to become an annual fixture - was organised by Nigel Gregg on behalf of the Association who thanked the sponsors for their generous support.

 

Nationwide International managing director Phil Dunne added, “We are proud to have supported the association on their inaugural golf day.  The course was in great condition and a tribute to Ramsey Golf Club.

 

RESULTS:

1st. MBL (Andy Nicholson, Ed Walters, John Shields and David Wilkinson) 83 pts. 2nd. Westwinds 2 (Stuart Murphy, Roy Leech, Tim Rattray and John Greenwood) 82 pts.

 

Nearest the pin prizes: Christina Skelly (17th), Phil Dunne (18th).  

Longest drive (1st): Chris Reynolds.
