An MHK who is campaigning for the Department of Health to appoint a full-time breast surgeon remains adamant it would be the best way forward for the Isle of Man.
The department will not be advertising the post until after the June sitting of Tynwald, but plans to recruit a general surgeon with an interest in breast surgery, rather than a specialist breast surgeon.
That move has been backed by the Royal College of Surgeons, but East Douglas member Brenda Cannell remains unconvinced:
