Earlier this year Alexandra Wilson, James Betteridge and Richard Betteridge signed up to walk the Parish Walk to raise money for Crossroads Caring for Carers Isle of Man.
Several other members of Crossroads staff, clients and volunteers followed their lead and have also now entered the Parish to raise awareness of the charity and sponsorship that will help Crossroads in providing 100,000 hours of Carer respite and services for people with a care need in 2011.
In advance of the big day on June 25th, Alex, James, Richard and other entrants will be aiming to walk the 32.5 miles to Peel on a treadmill stationed in The Strand Shopping Centre on Sunday 19th June 11.30am-5.00pm.
Alex Wilson, Crossroads Fundraising Events Co-ordinator, encourages members of the public to show their support and take advantage of the opportunity to sponsor walkers at the Strand on Sunday 19th June and come down to encourage walkers in their attempt to reach Peel in record time.
You can also sponsor entrants walking the walk for Crossroads at www.charitygiving.co.uk/alexwilson or in Crossroads charity shops, Prospect Terrace and Victoria Street. Special thanks to Fit 4 Hire who will be providing two treadmills on the day and The Strand Shopping Centre.
