Severe weather could force cancellation of Steam Packet ferry services on Monday

DUE TO the severe weather forecast for the Irish Sea, with winds predicted to be as high as 70mph, the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company has announced that there is the “likelihood” of its sailings schedules being disrupted.

 

In a statement issued this evening (Sunday) the company said that there was “a high risk of disruption or cancellation” of the Monday morning 07.30 and 11.15 fastcraft sailings to Liverpool being cancelled.

 

It’s also said that there is “possible cancellation” of the 08.45 and 14.15 sailings to Heysham.

 

The statement concludes: “The Master will make a decision at 06.30 on Monday morning.”
