Brown jury sent home by judge

by isleofman.com 21st May 2011

The jury in the trial of a pilot accused of murdering his former wife has been sent home for the weekend after retiring to consider its verdict.

The body of wealthy Ascot guesthouse owner and former Isle of Man resident Joanna Brown, was found on land near her home in November last year.

Jurors heard Robert Brown felt there had been a 'stitch-up' over a pre-nuptial agreement he had signed when the couple married.

Forty-seven-year-old Mr Brown admits killing his wife but denies murder.
