Man assaulted in Douglas by a stranger

POLICE are appealing for information after a 27 year old man was assaulted in Douglas yesterday (Thursday).

 

The assault happened at around 2.50pm in the lane which links Hilary Road and Bury Street in Douglas.

 

It is believed the assault was carried out by a white male aged between 35 and 40 years old. He was around five feet ten inches tall and was wearing blue jeans and a khaki coloured jacket.

 

No weapon was used during the assault and the victim did not require hospital treatment. The offender is believed to have walked off in the direction of Park Road.

 

A police spokesperson said the men were strangers to one another and called it an "unexplained assault".
