Choir to provide lunchtime entertainment

by isleofman.com 20th May 2011

For anybody who fancies a song or two with their sandwich this lunchtime (Friday), the Salvation Army Citadel in Douglas is the place to go.

The Friday Lunchtime Choir will perform a short concert at 1.30pm, at the building in Lord Street.

The community choir was formed two years ago and meets every Friday during term-time, for vocal training and to learn choral music of different styles.

Conductor Maggie Richardson, who is head of the Department of Education's music service, says today's 15-minute concert will feature music from five countries in four different languages.
